Colin Powell: Born again leftist By Rizzuto Mon Oct 20, 2008 - For seven and a half years now, Colin Powell has been a favorite punching bag of the left for his involvement in the selling of the Iraq War to the United Nations. Now, after having his judgment questioned and bashed for years the left lauding him for it based solely on the fact that he chose their candidate. Guess Colin had a religious moment in coming to Obama and has been born again. All is forgiven. But not only is the left's giddiness over his endorsement hard to swallow, but they don't seem to care that the man they blame for the Iraq War is going to be given a position in an Obama administration. Sorry, but that is quite a groin kick to Obama's anti-war base isn't it? Meanwhile, the Secretary of State that the left lauded for his leadership in creating the bi-partisan (and i might add useless) Baker/Hamilton report on Iraq, James Baker, has endorsed John McCain, and we don't hear a peep about it.
