Obama's Imaginary Walls By Verv Fri Jul 25, 2008 - Obama is trying harder than ever to look like JFK. From CNN: On Thursday, the presumptive Democratic nominee for the White House used a speech in Berlin -- the German city that once symbolized Cold War division --- to warn about the dangers of allowing new walls to come between the United States and its allies.I think it is really intriguing to think of our transatlantic relationship issues to be comparable to the Berlin wall. One was a physical barrier and a direct symbol of the total repression that embodied Communism. And what are these new walls? Figments of Obama's imagination -- he thinks we are somehow still living in the 1960s and waiting for another Martin Luther King to change our lives... I think all we are waiting for is more dead terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan, thank you very much. The idea that we have ruined our European relationships is utterly ridiculous in the face of the new conservative wave that has been bringing in countries like France and Italy back into our corner. The notion of us being severed with Europe seems to purely stem from what the mainstream, liberal media wants you to believe: Americans are disliked because we are too conservative. When there are no more walls left in society defined by race, religion or gender the Left just makes up new walls. Apparently, a sovereign country pursuing national defense and taking out terrorists abroad is building these terrible Berlin walls... Everywhere. I am just wondering if we could get someone to build a wall between Obama and Ahmadinejad, between Obama and Chavez? Those would be some new walls that we could use. But at the end of the day it is all simply a lie fabricated to make you believe we need figures like Obama who would put the feelings of European leftists about climate change (global warming R.I.P.) and national security. Let Obama go and speak to his own ilk in Berlin and Paris and get his ego inflated -- it will make it far more pleasurable to see him deflated.

Obama said: "The walls between the countries with the most and those with the least cannot stand." Pure socialism, level the playing field, make all nations equally mediocre. Obama said: "Not only have walls come down in Berlin, but they have come down in Belfast, where Protestant and Catholic found a way to live together" Totally false: the walls in Belfast, euphemistically called "peace Lines" still stand. |
